Job description

Who We Are

Betting Hero is the #1 live activation and customer acquisition company in sports betting and iGaming

Who You Are

Betting Hero is the #1 live activation and customer acquisition company in sports betting and iGaming - and we're adding a key player to our Finance team. The Corporate Account will be hands-on with real ownership across core accounting functions and plenty of opportunity to work on cross-functional projects.

Operating in a fast-moving industry, the business evolves rapidly. You'll work directly with the Controller, collaborate across teams, and be empowered to bring ideas and initiative - not just complete a checklist. If you're someone who gets energized by variety, takes pride in doing things right, and wants to be part of shaping how a Finance function grows, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Core Accounting:

  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable - invoicing, payments, collections, and cash application.
  • Support month-end close: journal entries, bank reconciliations, prepaids, accruals, etc.
  • Administer the expense policy - reviewing submissions, enforcing compliance, and following up proactively with the team.

Reporting & Compliance:

  • Support the annual audit: preparing schedules, pulling documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
  • Contribute to internal reporting and quarterly deliverables with accurate, timely supporting schedules.
  • Support tax and regulatory compliance projects as needed.

Systems & Process:

  • Play an active role in Finance automation projects - helping design, build, and refine AI-powered workflows and tools as we continue to evolve how we operate.
  • Support the development and maintenance of SOPs and internal policies as processes evolve.

Cross-Functional & Ad Hoc:

  • Partner with other teams across the business on a wide range of projects. This role touches more than a typical accounting seat, and that's by design.
  • Handle sensitive information - contracts, payroll data, compliance documents - with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Lean into ambiguity and step into new areas as the business grows. The role will evolve - and we're looking for someone who's excited to grow with it.
What You Bring

The Right Person

  • Naturally curious, always thinking about how things could work better - and speaks up about it.
  • Accountable and dependable - owns their work fully, meets deadlines, and holds themselves to a high bar.
  • Thrives with autonomy; self-directed and confident managing their own priorities.
  • Energized by change, new tools, and an evolving scope.
  • Warm, collaborative, and genuinely enjoyable to work with.

Technical Skills

  • 2-3+ years of hands-on accounting experience - GL, AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, journal entries
  • Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite preferred or a strong ability to learn it quickly.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or Finance required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with Claude and using AI to build solutions and drive productivity.
What We Offer

Salary range: $58k-$72k,

WHY BETTING HERO

  • Bonus, full health/dental/vision benefits, 401(k), and PTO
  • Real responsibility from day one - your work is visible and your contributions matter.
  • A role with genuine growth built in - as the company expands, so does the scope of what you'll own and contribute to.
  • Join at a genuinely interesting moment - we're at the intersection of a high-growth industry, AI adoption, and a Finance team that's actively reimagining how it operates.
  • A remote-first team where people genuinely enjoy who they work with - collaborative, respectful, and passionate about what we're building together.
