Job description

Position Overview

Are you a compassionate and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) looking to leverage your expertise in a meaningful way? Join Main Street Social Work in Worcester, Massachusetts, to help guide individuals through their recovery journeys from substance abuse. In this full-time remote role, you will have the opportunity to provide therapeutic support to students in school settings, utilizing your clinical skills to make a significant impact on their mental health and well-being.

About the Organization

Main Street Social Work is a forward-thinking substance abuse treatment center dedicated to delivering high-quality care through innovative practices and advanced technology. Our team comprises experienced social workers and mental health professionals who are committed to creating an empowering environment for both clinicians and clients. By fostering a supportive atmosphere, we enable our employees to grow while providing our patients with exceptional treatment solutions.

Work Environment

This position allows for a flexible work schedule, supported by the structure of remote engagement with clients. You will be interfacing with educational facilities to provide mental health services to students, making your ability to adapt to different situations and communicate effectively crucial for success. The remote nature of this role grants you autonomy while being part of a dedicated team focused on holistic recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual psychotherapy focused on resolving mental health concerns associated with substance abuse.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and create tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices and solution-focused interventions.
  • Implement various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to suit patient needs within the context of school environment challenges.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation to meet compliance standards while fostering an open dialogue with other members of the treatment team.
  • Work collaboratively with educators and school administrators to ensure that students receive comprehensive support, combining academic and emotional assistance.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding available mental health and substance abuse resources.
  • Continuously integrate latest research findings into practice to improve treatment efficacy and patient outcomes.
  • Manage a full caseload, consistently meeting treatment goals and adhering to ethical standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be on a diverse population of students facing substance abuse challenges and related mental health issues. By working directly with individuals in a school setting, you will help to remove barriers to success and ensure that each client receives the guidance necessary to thrive in both academic and social environments.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience, specifically in substance abuse treatment modalities.
  • Proficient understanding of evidence-based, solution-focused interventions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
Preferred Experience

While one year of clinical experience is mandatory, we value additional experience within school environments, particularly with programs aimed at youth mental health and substance abuse intervention. Familiarity with school systems will contribute to a smoother integration into this role and enhance your effectiveness in contributing to student support.

Compensation and Benefits

Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision coverage, a retirement plan, malpractice insurance, and an employee assistance program for personal mental health support. Additionally, we offer paid professional liability insurance and streamlined administrative processes, allowing you to focus on providing high-quality care with minimal paperwork.
