As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Blue Ribbon Social Work, your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing psychotherapy sessions to individuals facing mental health concerns, particularly within the framework of substance abuse treatment.
• Conducting thorough assessments to understand client needs and develop personalized treatment plans that employ evidence-based practices and solution-focused interventions.
• Administering therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) specifically designed to support recovery from substance use disorders.
• Maintaining accurate, compliant clinical records that reflect treatment progress and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure holistic and coordinated care for each patient.
• Educating patients and their families about available mental health and substance abuse resources, promoting informed decision-making and self-advocacy.
• Staying current with the latest research in the field to continuously integrate new knowledge and best practices into your therapeutic approach.
• Managing a full caseload while striving to meet treatment goals and adhere to ethical standards in practice.

Your patient caseload will encompass a diverse group of individuals dealing with substance use issues and co-occurring mental health conditions. You will engage with clients in various stages of their recovery journey, from detoxification to ongoing therapeutic support, and work to empower them in their recovery process through personalized, empathetic care.

To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Virginia.
• At least one year of clinical experience, particularly in substance abuse therapy.
• Strong knowledge of solution-based interventions and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills to foster productive relationships with clients and colleagues.

While not required, candidates with the following qualifications will stand out:

• Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities.
• Experience in remote or telehealth service delivery.
