We have a remote contract opportunity for Senior Mainframe Analyst / Developer with one of our clients. Detailed job descriptions is provided below.
Position: Senior Mainframe Analyst / Developer
Duration: 1 yr

Job Description:
  • 10+ years of Mainframe experience with strong hands-on expertise in reverse engineering undocumented legacy systems, including complex COBOL and IBM Assembler/BAL applications.
  • Mandatory: Prior DMV Mainframe system and data experience. Candidates must have worked on at least one DMV-specific Mainframe project.
  • Experience translating COBOL/Assembler logic into BRDs, User Stories, functional requirements, and business rules, including tracing data lineage and application dependencies.
  • Strong experience analyzing and refactoring Basic Assembler Language (BAL) and modifying COBOL/Assembler batch processing and File I/O while preserving existing business logic and calculations.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of BAL I/O refactoring experience, including supporting sequential files while maintaining original business logic.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience with IBM Mainframe integration with Salesforce.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
