  • Manage and maintain the team's GitHub ticketing workflow, including triaging incoming requests, updating tickets, tracking status, and following up with stakeholders.
  • Help track deliverables and follow-ups across existing tools (e.g., GitHub, Microsoft Planner), supporting visibility into team commitments without owning a formal project management function.
  • Support the department with Field to Market's IT vendor and other partners including Colorado State University on back-end model integration, including capturing meeting notes and action items, tracking follow-ups, and supporting transition activities.
  • Assist with testing new and updated Fieldprint Platform features, documenting findings, and communicating issues to the development team.
  • Contribute to the Fieldprint Platform support portal by drafting, updating, and maintaining content related to technology and science topics.
  • Support development of product documentation and contribute to the evolution of the product roadmap.
  • Contribute to prototyping and exploration of new Platform features and tools as technical skills develop.

Other Department Support

  • Provide meeting support for the Science and Technology team and for the committees, working groups, and stakeholder engagements it leads including scheduling, agenda development, note-taking, and follow-up tracking.
  • Support development of presentations, reports, grant proposals, and other materials communicating Science and Technology work to internal and external audiences, including internal leadership, member meetings, and external conferences.
  • Contribute to other Science and Technology team priorities as needed, which may include occasional support on science- and metric-related work.
  • Provide support at Field to Market events, including the annual meeting.
  • Uphold Field to Market's core values and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, including internships, co-op programs, applied coursework, or full-time work.
  • Bachelor's degree required. Relevant fields include information systems, computer science, data science, agricultural systems management, agricultural or environmental engineering, sustainability, environmental science, ora related discipline.
  • Working familiarity with agriculture, sustainability, or environmental systems through coursework, prior work, or applied experience.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for new technical tools and platforms; comfort with software testing, ticketing systems (e.g., GitHub, Jira), and structured work management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to take clear notes, summarize technical discussions, and develop polished presentation materials.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to track multiple workstreams and follow through on commitments.
  • Comfort working independently in a remote environment while collaborating across a small, cross-functional team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and in the everyday use of AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) for research, drafting, summarization, and structured problem-solving, with the judgment to critically evaluate outputs. Familiarity with WordPress is a plus, as the Platform's support site runs on WordPress.
  • Curiosity and willingness to grow into expanding responsibilities in product, technology, science, and the broader work of the Science and Technology team over this role's evolution.
  • Occasional travel (estimated up to 20%) for team meetings, member conferences, and stakeholder events.
  • Located within a twohour drive of a major airport.
