Job Title: Instructional Technologist Location-Type: Remote (EST time zone preferred) Start Date: August 24, 2025 Duration: Contract (10 months, through June 30, 2027) Compensation Range: $30-35/hr W2 Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, and 401K Visa Sponsorship: Not eligible for visa sponsorship Job Description: This role provides hands-on instructional technology and Tier 1 support to faculty and course operations for a fully remote online learning team, helping reduce workload and ensure a smooth fall semester launch. Job Summary •Triage and dispatch incoming support tickets to the appropriate team members •Resolve Tier 1 requests including troubleshooting, enrollment questions, and how-to inquiries •Build and maintain Canvas LMS course sites, including updating assignments and course content •Create deep links to third-party learning tools and integrate external content into Canvas •Support faculty and internal stakeholders remotely with a proactive, customer-service-oriented approach •Follow established processes and contribute to documentation of support procedures Minimum Requirements: •1-3 years of experience supporting a learning management system, with Canvas LMS strongly preferred •Hands-on experience building and maintaining Canvas course sites and updating course content •Experience using ticketing systems to manage and route support requests •Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer service mindset •Ability to work independently and proactively in a fully remote environment Preferred Qualifications: •Experience working in a higher education environment, such as a university or online learning organization •Familiarity with Halo or similar ticketing platforms •Background in technical or customer-facing support roles •Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
