Sr. Sales Executive, Boston

Work Mode: Remote

Location: Remote – Boston, MA

Opportunity

Under the direction of a Branch Sales Manager, responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and evaluating all field sales activities within an assigned territory and channel. Directly own Key Decision Maker sales relationships within territory and responsible for executing product, channel and program sales initiatives at the field level.  Promote and service Kohler Co. plumbing products through key specifying community which includes, developers, project design firms, hospitality ownership, engineers and mechanical contractors. Will be assigned special assignments and projects by Branch Managers. Channel focus may vary based on strategic sales goals and opportunities within the market as defined by the Branch and Business Development management teams.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Sales focused on driving Kohler and Sterling product specifications for Multi Family, Hospitality, Commercial and D10 project work, including new and renovation.  
  • Developers, Hotel Ownership, Project Design/Specification firms,  GC’s,  Plumbing Engineers,  and Mechanical Contractors will be contacts to drive specification through to project conclusion.
  • Utilize Sales Force platform for CRM, and  specification/project execution
  • Utilize sales lead tools ( Costar, Bid Tracer, etc..)
  • Participation in trade organizations and where applicable industry trade shows ( IIDA, ASID, and AIA)
  • Host key events to drive product specifications and build industry relationships ( CEU’s, Lunch and Learn, Table top firm events and product reviews)   Where applicable host trip to Kohler WI to further engage customers
  • Manage funds for design samples ( color and finish ),  mock up rooms, and offer VE options samples
  • Cross territory/branch execution.  Assist with projects outside of branch ( US and International)
  • Leverage the strength of other Kohler Cos and support where applicable ( Kallista, Robern, etc..)
  •  Interaction with Regional Business Development Managers ( Multi- Family, Commercial, Hospitality and Design)
  •  Understanding of key industry programs and standards: LEED, Water Sense, ADA and specific market codes and standards
  • Engage with Branch peers working together to drive projects through to shipment and handling issues quicky that might come up.
  • Lead branch tracking review of P & S ( monthly)
  •  Develop knowledge of competitor F & B, Programs, and Project Pricing     In addition capture competitor information defining lost projects and the why
  •  Timely reporting and follow up

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in Sales, Business Administration or Marketing.
  •  2+ years of outside sales experience required.
  • Must possess moderate skills in written and oral communication with all levels of management and with outside contacts.

Travel

  • Travel to trade shows, manufacturing plants, and customer visits as needed. Approximately 15% travel.

The salary range for this position is $83,550 - $127,550 plus a competitive half-yearly sales incentive bonus. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position may be eligible for an Area Salary Differential based on the location.
