We are looking for a survey team leader who is interested in improving daily lives through quality survey and help other surveyors grown and succeed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and mentor survey team members.
  • Work closely with project teams and clients.
  • Performing field surveys on a one or two-person survey crew.
  • Survey field work is primarily focused on transportation projects and includes topographic surveys, utility surveys, right-of-way surveys, highway design surveys, and construction layout.
  • Input into project scoping including estimating, assessing staffing needs, project scheduling, and coordination.
  • Office work includes point and data management, data reduction and base file creation using C3D and TBC.
  • Position may periodically include overnight travel to other office locations based on project needs.

Requirements

  • AS or BS degree in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering
  • At least 3 years of previous work experience in land surveying.
  • Proven communication, leadership, and planning skills.
  • Previous experience leading survey crews.
  • Background in modern survey methods including use of robotic total stations, data collectors, Trimble Business Center, and GPS/VRS.
  • Knowledge of WisDOT FDM Chapters 9 and 12.
  • Path to registration as a professional land surveyor (PLS) a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with Civil 3D.
  • WisDOT project experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license.
