Job description

STV is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale design-build heavy industrial construction projects throughout Rhode Island and Connecticut.

This senior leadership role requires a proven project executive capable of managing complex industrial facility expansions and capital improvement programs within active operating environments. The successful candidate will serve as the owner's representative and primary point of contact, providing leadership across project planning, design coordination, construction execution, safety, budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder management. Design Build experience is a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of large-scale heavy industrial design-build projects from initiation through closeout.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the owner, facility operations teams, executive leadership, design consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

  • Provide daily on-site leadership and oversight to ensure projectobjectivesrelated to safety, quality, schedule, and budget are achieved.

  • Manage all phases of design-build project delivery, including design coordination, constructability reviews, procurement strategies, risk management, and construction execution.

  • Develop,maintain, andmonitormaster project schedules and key project milestones.

  • Ensure contractor performance, project controls, and reporting processes align with owner expectations and contractual requirements.

  • Oversee project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, change management, cost control, and executive reporting.

  • Lead project meetings, stakeholder communications, and strategic decision-making efforts.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, environmental regulations, and industrial safety standards.

  • Manage projects within active industrial and manufacturing facilities while minimizing operational disruption.

  • Utilize Procore, BIM platforms, PMIS systems, and Microsoft Office applications to support project delivery and documentation.

  • Identifyand resolve complex project challenges involvinglogistics, labor resources, procurement, and supply chain constraints.

  • Mentor junior project management staff and contribute to best practices across the project team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, ora relatedfield preferred.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience managing large-scale heavy industrial construction projects.

  • Design Build experience is required.

  • Demonstrated success leading design-build project delivery in industrial, manufacturing, energy, process, utility, or complex infrastructure environments.

  • Strong understanding of design management, contractor oversight, construction sequencing, and project controls.

  • Proven experience managing projects from concept and design through construction and commissioning.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing large project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.

  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and project management information systems (PMIS).

  • OSHA 10 certificationrequired; OSHA 30 preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, CCM, DBIA, or similar professional certification.

  • Experience supporting large industrial facility expansions, modernization programs, or manufacturing capital projects.

  • Familiarity with Connecticut and Rhode Island construction regulations and permitting requirements.

  • Experience managing projects in remote or operationally challenging environments.

  • Strong understanding of BIM-enabled project delivery and integrated project controls.
