As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don't. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to solve some of our clients' most complex problems and find solutions that keep our nation safe.
As a plans analyst, you'll bring your strategic expertise to work alongside thought leaders in strategy and planning on projects for defense. You'll use your skills and expertise to assess and advance warfighting concepts with recommendations for capability development that span the DOTMLPF-P spectrum. Further your career while creating mission-forward solutions that matter. Work with us to evaluate complex challenges and recommend opportunities to inform senior military decision-makers.

You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience working in a DoD environment
  • 3+ years of experience with Service or Joint Operational Planning
  • 3+ years of experience at the Combatant Command, Service, or Joint Headquarters level
  • Knowledge of Naval operations and integration with the joint force
  • Knowledge of DOTMPLF-P problem solving or Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) management
  • Knowledge of operating in a multinational environment and working directly at a strategic-level staff with foreign partner and allied militaries
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience in an operational U.S. Marine Corps role
  • Experience with Joint Staff organizational decision-making processes
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps Operational Concepts, Doctrine, Total Force Structure Management Systems, Systems Approach to Training, Defense Acquisition Lifecycle Management, Leadership Hierarchy, Joint Capability Development and Integration, and the Expeditionary Force Development Systems
  • Master's degree
  • Completion of Advanced Intermediate Level Planning or Advanced Warfighting schooling

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
