Job description

JOB DETAILS

Department: Finance and Accounting
FTE: 1.00 (80 hours per pay period)
Workdays: Monday - Friday
Shift(s): Days
Shift Length: 8 hours
Location: Remote

Purpose of this position: The Senior Decision Support Analyst will be a part of a dynamic team that collaborates as a finance subject matter expert with operational leadership and IT to configure the components of the Decision Support System. This includes Capital and Operating Budgeting, Payroll and Productivity Reporting, Cost Accounting, and Patient Level Reporting. The team configures and maintains methodologies for cost accounting, service line analysis, and productivity analysis, and provider measurements to continuously improve reporting and information delivery for the overall financial performance management system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports and manages data integrity, accuracy, and configuration requirements of the financial Decision Support System 
  • Collaborates in the build and standardization of standard Decision Support Reporting
  • Manages data integrity and accuracy of the financial Decision Support System modules and databases
  • Collaborates with other key stakeholders in the organization, in particular, the Analytical Center of Excellence and Accounting, to ensure alignment in the strategic data needs of the organization, including partnering on the data request and review process and continued improvement in the way we use, report, and analyze information (this includes, but it not limited to, dashboards and metrics)
  • Comprehends relationships between business activities and how it relates to workflow and configuration
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field 
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience with at least 1+ years on the technical side in developing reports for informed business decisions

  • An approved equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Finance or Business (MBA, CPA or CMA)
  • Previous healthcare experience and demonstrated knowledge of healthcare
  • Epic Experience and knowledge
  • Peoplesoft and Decision Support (EPSi, Strata Jazz etc), experience preferred

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

  • Expert knowledge of Excel, and experience in Word, Access (relational databases), PowerPoint, General Ledger systems, and other reporting tools
  • Ability to be detail and deadline oriented
  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and responsibilities concurrently
  • Excellent analysis and cost-benefit analysis skills
