Position Overview

Greenleaf Health Partners is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our innovative team in a fully remote capacity. This full-time role offers an opportunity to provide critical mental health services to individuals who have experienced trauma, fostering resilience and recovery through thoughtful, evidence-based interventions.

About the Organization

Greenleaf Health Partners is a progressive mental health care provider located in Kansas City, Missouri, dedicated to delivering specialized outpatient services to trauma survivors. Our mission is to create a safe, understanding, and empowering environment for each client, where they can begin to heal and thrive. We focus on the treatment of various trauma-related conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, utilizing a holistic approach that integrates emotional, mental, and physical health.

Work Environment

As a remote facility, our team operates primarily through telehealth platforms, allowing flexibility while maintaining high standards of care. You will work in a supportive environment where collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is encouraged, enhancing the quality of care provided to our patients. With a flexible work schedule, you will be able to balance your professional responsibilities with your personal life effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patientโ€™s unique trauma history and inform treatment planning.
  • Design and implement tailored treatment plans emphasizing trauma recovery and resilience, while adjusting to patients' evolving needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in individual and group therapy contexts.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to help patients navigate their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and foster healing.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals in integrated care teams, ensuring comprehensive support for our patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention when required, offering immediate support during traumatic emergencies to stabilize and guide patients.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available support resources to promote understanding and involvement in the recovery process.
  • Maintain diligent and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate patient records and continuity of care.
  • Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on the latest in trauma-informed care practices.
  • Stay informed about contemporary research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance therapeutic outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals affected by trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role is crucial in supporting a diverse client base, ranging from children and adolescents to adults seeking to navigate the impacts of trauma in their lives. We prioritize a person-centered approach, ensuring each patient feels seen, heard, and supported throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Missouri.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental approach.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate efficient documentation and patient management.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling role focusing on trauma therapy.
  • Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations, particularly during crisis interventions.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Health insurance benefitting both physical and mental wellness.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer matching to enhance your financial future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay to support work-life balance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage for peace of mind.
  • Ongoing education and training opportunities to foster your professional growth.
  • A nurturing and collaborative work environment that values each team member's input.
