The Senior Consultant, Business Solutions partners with internal and external stakeholders to identify business challenges, analyze processes and systems, and design and implement scalable solutions that drive operational efficiency and client value. This role performs detailed requirements analysis, process design, data evaluation, solution configuration, testing, and documentation to support successful delivery of business and technology initiatives. The Senior Consultant exercises independent judgment, mentors team members, and contributes to high-quality client outcomes through analytical rigor, collaboration, and execution excellence.
We are seeking a Sr Consultant professional experienced with tax engines such as Avalara, ONESOURCE, or Sovos. Our ideal candidate should be able to guide clients through implementing, migrating, and maintaining tax configurations within one or more of these platforms. That requires both technical and functional tax-engine experience, along with a demonstrated ability to manage client engagements.
This is a fully remote role with up 25% travel.

• Interface directly with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs, operational challenges, and system requirements.

• Develop and deliver high-quality client documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Support resolution of client inquiries, technical questions, and service-related matters.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in consulting, business analysis, technology implementation, process improvement, or related professional services environment.
• Must hold experience with tax engines such as Avalara, ONESOURCE, or Sovos. Our ideal candidate should be able to guide clients through implementing, migrating, and maintaining tax configurations within one or more of these platforms. That requires both technical and functional tax-engine experience, along with a demonstrated ability to manage client engagements.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing complex business processes and translating requirements into actionable solutions.
• Experience supporting project delivery, including documentation, testing, and stakeholder coordination.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced Excel skills preferred, including data analysis, pivot tables, and reporting.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Planner, Asana, ClickUp, or similar).
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or other enterprise business systems.
• Experience with data analytics, automation, or reporting tools preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new business and technology platforms.

Work Environment:

• Standard indoor working environment.
• Long periodsof sitting while workingatcomputer.
• Position requires regular interaction with employeesat all levels of the Firmand vendors both in-person and via e-mail andtelephone.

Compensation Pay Transparency:

• For certain California based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $86,500.00 - $114,125.00

• For other California based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $79,500.00 - $104,775.00

• For Colorado based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $75,500.00 - $99,825.00
• For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $79,500.00 - $104,775.00
• For other Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $75,500.00 - $99,825.00
• For Maryland based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $75,500.00 - $99,825.00
• For Massachusetts based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $79,500.00 - $104,775.00
