Sr. CRM Project Manager (nonprofits)
Location: Fully remote (with preference for local travel capability to Austin, Texas)
Type: Contract to Hire
Role Overview
We are seeking a CRM Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale CRM implementation and migration to Microsoft Dynamics for a nonprofit client. This role will own the day-to-day execution, including planning, resourcing, and coordination across cross-functional teams. The individual will manage timelines and delivery while ensuring alignment between business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day project execution for the CRM implementation, from planning through go-live and stabilization.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resourcing plans.
  • Manage timelines, delivery, and execution for a complex CRM transformation for a nonprofit organization.
  • Coordinate delivery across offshore development teams and onshore Business Analysts, functional consultants, and technical leads.
  • Oversee legacy system migration from iMIS to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Manage data migration and conversion activities, with a focus on financial data and member records.
  • Oversee integrations between Microsoft Dynamics and financial systems like Sage Intacct.
  • Manage complex nonprofit or membership-based business processes such as events, fundraising, and membership management.
  • Run regular delivery cadences including status meetings, sprint reviews, and delivery checkpoints.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading CRM implementations, specifically migrating legacy systems into Microsoft Dynamics for nonprofits.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM/CE).
  • Strong experience in data migration and conversion, including financial and historical transaction data.
  • Experience working with membership-based or nonprofit organizations.
  • Experience managing offshore and onshore teams.
  • Demonstrated experience working with financial systems or accounting platforms, such as Sage Intacct.
  • Strong understanding of event management, membership, and fundraising workflows.
  • Experience managing integrations and APIs.
  • Solid background in core project management disciplines, including planning, scheduling, budget tracking, and risk management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Association Management System (AMS) platforms and complex membership/finance data models.
  • Experience delivering projects using Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or a similar certification is preferred but not required.
