Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health to identify their individual needs and establish tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions through secure virtual platforms, ensuring adherence to best practices in mental health care.
• Engage actively with clients to set achievable therapeutic goals and provide consistent support throughout their healing journey.
• Employ a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, adjusting approaches as necessary to align with clients' unique preferences and treatment objectives.
• Document treatment sessions meticulously, keeping accurate records of client progress and outcomes to inform ongoing treatment decisions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Cornerstone, you will work with a diverse clientele struggling with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and more. Our clients come from different cultural backgrounds and life experiences, requiring a counselor who is empathetic and adaptable in their therapeutic approach.

Qualifications

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s or doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to develop and maintain therapeutic relationships in a virtual setting.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nuanced understanding of clients’ backgrounds and life challenges.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively schedule and conduct remote sessions and manage paperwork.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in telehealth counseling or remote therapy, showcasing familiarity with digital therapy tools and platforms.
• Experience working with specific populations, such as adolescents, veterans, or marginalized communities, is a plus.
• Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or solution-focused therapy.
