Job description

Our client, an A-rated Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add a Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner to their Midwest team. This would be a fully remote position. Duties will consist of handling mid to complex Workers' Compensation Lost Time claims from inception to close. Qualified candidates must reside in the Midwest and possess a strong knowledge in one or multiple Midwest states.
  • Handle moderate to complex Workers' Compensation claims from inception to close.
  • Pending will range from 90 - 120 claims.
  • Negotiate settlements with injured workers and attorneys.
  • Ensure appropriate investigation of the underlying facts and circumstances are carried out, proper experts are retained and utilized where necessary, selection and utilization of counsel is appropriate, proper negotiation strategy is employed.
  • โ€ŽProvides direction to legal counsel and manages litigation process.
  • Attend settlement conferences on serious injury claims.
Requirements:
  • 5 - 10+ years of experience handling Workers Compensation claims.
  • Strong Workers' Compensation knowledge in one or more Midwest states
  • Must have experience handling litigated files.
  • Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills.
  • High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
Salary/Benefits:
  • $80,000 to $110,000 annual base salary plus 10% Target bonus
