Senior Sales Compensation Analyst (CaptivateIQ)

Perforce

Atlanta, GA • Remote

$82K - $150K/yr

Full-time

Posted 5 days ago

Job description

Perforce is a community of collaborative experts, problem solvers, and possibility seekers who believe work should be both challenging and fun. We are proud to inspire creativity, foster belonging, support collaboration, and encourage wellness. At Perforce, you’ll work with and learn from some of the best and brightest in business. Before you know it, you’ll be in the middle of a rewarding career at a company headed in one direction: upward.

With a global footprint spanning more than 80 countries and including over 75% of the Fortune 100, Perforce Software, Inc. is trusted by the world’s leading brands to deliver solutions for the toughest challenges. The best run DevOps teams in the world choose Perforce.

Perforce is hiring a Senior Compensation Analyst to serve as the dedicated owner of CaptivateIQ (CIQ), our commissions and incentive compensation platform. This role sits at the center of sales compensation operations, responsible for the day-to-day accuracy of commission calculations, the integrity of plan configurations, and the ongoing evolution of the system as Perforce's comp plans, deal structures, and go-to-market strategy change.

This is not a general comp analyst role. We need someone who has lived inside CaptivateIQ, who understands its data model, calculation logic, statement generation, and admin console at a deep, technical level, and who can be trusted as the final word on how the system should be configured and why.

Why Perforce

You'll have real ownership of a system that directly impacts how our sales organization is paid — with the autonomy to shape how CIQ evolves as Perforce grows. You'll work closely with FP&A, Sales Operations, and Sales leadership on high-visibility initiatives, including compensation plan redesign and dependent-variable incentive structures.

What You'll Do:

Own CaptivateIQ end-to-end: serve as the primary system administrator responsible for configuration, data integrity, calculation logic, and platform governance.

Update, correct, and maintain commission plan structures, rules, tiers, accelerators, and crediting logic within CIQ as plans change or errors are identified.

Investigate and resolve commission calculation discrepancies, tracing issues back to source data (Salesforce, HRIS, billing) versus CIQ configuration.

Act as the go-to recommender for all CIQ changes; evaluating requests from Sales, Sales Ops, HR, and Finance, and advising on the best way to implement them within the platform's capabilities.

Partner with FP&A and Sales Compensation leadership to translate new or amended comp plans (including dependent-variable and accelerator-based designs) into accurate CIQ builds.

Manage data integrations and imports between CIQ and upstream systems (Salesforce, HRIS, billing/ERP), ensuring clean, reconciled data flows.

Build and maintain CIQ reporting and dashboards to support commission audits, payout reconciliation, and leadership visibility into plan performance.

Own the commission payout calendar and monthly/quarterly close process within CIQ, ensuring statements are accurate and released on time.

Document CIQ configurations, workflows, and change history to maintain a clean audit trail and reduce key-person risk.

Support SOX-related controls and audit requests tied to commission calculations and system access.

Train and support sales, finance, and HR stakeholders on how to read commission statements and use CIQ-related tools.

Stay current on CaptivateIQ platform releases and proactively recommend enhancements that improve accuracy, scalability, or rep experience.

What You Bring:

5+ years of experience in sales compensation, commissions administration, or a related finance/RevOps function.

Deep, hands-on CaptivateIQ experience is required; including plan building, formula/logic configuration, data connections, and admin-level troubleshooting. Candidates without direct CIQ experience will not be considered.

Proven track record as a system owner or lead administrator for a commissions or incentive compensation platform (CIQ, Xactly, Varicent, SPIFF, or similar), with a strong preference for CaptivateIQ specifically.

Strong understanding of sales compensation plan mechanics  such as quotas, accelerators, tiers, SPIFFs, draws, clawbacks, and multi-component plans.

Advanced Excel skills; comfort working with large, imperfect datasets and reconciling data across systems.

Experience with Salesforce (or another CRM) as a data source for commissions, including how opportunity and product data flow into calculations.

Excellent attention to detail and a bias toward accuracy; this role is the last line of defense before commission dollars go out the door.

Strong communication skills; able to explain complex calculation logic clearly to non-technical stakeholders and to push back diplomatically on requests that would compromise data integrity.

Comfort operating independently and taking ownership; this person will be the internal expert and primary decision-maker on CIQ matters.

Nice to Have:

CaptivateIQ certification or formal admin training.

Experience supporting compensation plans in a PE-backed or multi-business-unit software company.

Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition as it relates to commission expensing.

Prior experience partnering directly with FP&A on plan design or comp modeling.

AI Fluency:
Level 1: Basic AI User (Foundation): Uses approved AI tools to support daily work, writes basic prompts, and reviews outputs for accuracy while following security, privacy, and Responsible AI guidelines.
This position is eligible  for our Annual Bonus Plan.
Additionally, this position is eligible for benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, retirement benefits, life insurance, wellness programs, total time off, and other employee perks that may be offered by Perforce from time to time. The actual offer will depend on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s education, skills, qualifications, depth of experience and other relevant business considerations. Perforce reserves the right to amend or modify employee perks and benefits at any time.

All employees are expected to demonstrate AI fluency appropriate to their role and level, including responsible use of AI tools, sound judgment, and adherence to company AI governance and security policy standards.
