• Conduct thorough psychological assessments and evaluations for clients, documenting findings clearly from the initial intake through the duration of therapy.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, tailored to their unique needs and goals.
• Facilitate effective individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based modalities to guide your practice.
• Monitor and document clients' progress throughout the treatment process, ensuring the alignment of therapeutic approaches with clients' evolving needs.
• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical providers, to craft comprehensive intervention plans.
• Provide critical follow-up and support for clients who may be transitioning from inpatient care, ensuring continuity in their mental health services.
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate those issues, collaborating with family members and caregivers to support clients' well-being.

Our clinic serves a varied clientele, including individuals and families facing a wide range of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. As a counselor, you will engage with clients from different backgrounds, requiring an adaptable approach to meet their diverse cultural and emotional needs. Your role will significantly impact their journey towards recovery and improved mental health.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Strong proficiency with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR, ensuring accurate documentation and streamlined patient management.
• In-depth knowledge of common mental health challenges, addiction disorders, and related therapies.
• Superior communication skills in both verbal and written formats, facilitating effective interactions with clients and team members.
• Empathetic and supportive interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport with clients and fostering a trusting therapeutic environment.

• Demonstrated experience in a community health or clinical setting, providing mental health counseling to diverse client populations.
• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• A nuanced understanding of the interplay between physical health issues and mental health, especially regarding treatment compliance and recovery management.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, plus a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
