About the Organization

At Primacare Psychotherapy Services, our mission is to enhance mental health and wellness within the communities we serve. We are a forward-thinking community health clinic located in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, where we prioritize the mental health needs of our patients by offering high-quality, accessible mental health care. Our multidisciplinary team collaborates to create a supportive environment for both therapists and clients, ensuring that every person receives individualized attention and care.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to provide essential mental health services from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a work-life balance. You will engage with clients through teletherapy sessions, utilizing a variety of digital platforms and tools. Our commitment to providing a thriving remote work environment means having access to ongoing support and resources, as well as opportunities for professional development. We foster a culture of teamwork and open communication despite the physical distance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments using standardized tools to evaluate clients’ psychological conditions and prepare clinical diagnoses.
  • Create detailed treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, incorporating evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Facilitate individual, couples, and family therapy sessions, adapting therapeutic interventions to target specific issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention for clients facing acute psychological crises, employing techniques that stabilize emotional responses and develop safety plans.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client documentation, including progress notes and treatment summaries, according to ethical guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with other health professionals, such as psychiatrists and case managers, to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.
  • Engage in client and family education, helping them understand mental health dynamics, available resources, and treatment options.
  • Commit to ongoing professional education and training to stay abreast of the latest developments in mental health practices and methodologies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clientele you will serve range from children to adults, each facing unique mental health challenges. Many clients may present with complex histories involving trauma, grief, or chronic mental health disorders. At Primacare, you will approach each individual with sensitivity, fostering an environment of trust and openness that is crucial for effective therapy. Your contributions will directly impact client resilience and growth, enabling them to navigate their mental health journeys more successfully.

Qualifications
  • A valid state license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) is required.
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field is essential.
  • Proven expertise in clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health therapy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and other healthcare team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while being an enthusiastic team player.
  • A strong commitment to ethical practice and upholding professional standards in mental health care.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a clinical or community health setting is advantageous but not strictly required for motivated candidates.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote care methodologies is highly beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
