• Conduct in-depth patient assessments using standardized tools and frameworks to establish individualized treatment plans.
• Provide mental health counseling, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
• Utilize telehealth technologies to deliver counseling services, ensuring accessibility and convenience for clients across varying geographical areas.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records while adhering to legal, ethical, and organizational standards for confidentiality.
• Implement behavior management strategies to support clients in developing effective coping mechanisms for their mental health challenges, particularly focusing on trauma and PTSD.
• Engage in clinical research initiatives to contribute to the field of mental health and continuously improve treatment methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, share insights, and optimize patient engagement.

The licensed mental health counselor will work primarily with a diverse population, focusing notably on children and adolescents facing various mental health issues. The role involves providing therapeutic support to clients dealing with trauma-related conditions, life transitions, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. Understanding cultural sensitivities and exhibiting flexibility in therapeutic approaches are essential to meet the varied needs of our clientele.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) licensure in New York.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic practices with demonstrated proficiency in CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care approaches.
• Excellent patient assessment skills, with a track record of creating effective treatment plans.

• Minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience, preferably in a telehealth setting.
• Experience in clinical research aimed at improving treatment practices is an advantage.
• Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms to enhance client engagement and therapeutic outcomes is highly desirable.

The compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
