Work Environment

As a remote mental health counselor at Nurtune, you will operate in an innovative and supportive virtual environment. Our community health clinic approach allows you to connect with clients from the comfort of their homes, creating a safe space for therapeutic discussions. Although you will primarily work independently, our collaborative environment encourages regular interaction with your peers, providing a solid network of support and professional development. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of clients, utilizing evidence-based practices to devise individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique situations.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions, employing methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other recognized therapeutic modalities to facilitate client progress.
  • Maintain and manage thorough and confidential clinical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and state regulations.
  • Participate actively in a cohesive treatment team comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, and fellow mental health professionals to offer integrated care.
  • Engage in ongoing case consultations and peer review meetings, contributing to continual improvement in the quality of care delivered to clients.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and community resources available for additional assistance.
  • Continually update your knowledge base to stay abreast of the latest research and developments in the mental health field, ensuring that you provide the most effective and up-to-date therapeutic techniques.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve at Nurtune encompass a broad spectrum of needs, including individuals grappling with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other psychological disorders. Your role will involve forging therapeutic relationships with these clients, advocating for their needs, and helping them through their unique journeys toward improved mental health and holistic wellness.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • An active license to practice in the state of Oregon, including LMFT, LCSW, or LPC credentials.
  • Strong understanding and application of solution-oriented psychotherapy methods to customize care based on individual client needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all client interactions.
