The Clinical Mental Health Counselor will engage in various essential activities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting thorough psychosocial assessments for new clients to establish a comprehensive understanding of their mental health needs and history.
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances and challenges.
• Facilitating individual, group, and family counseling sessions that foster open communication, trust, and effective coping strategies.
• Assisting clients in identifying negative behaviors associated with mental health issues or addictions, promoting healthier lifestyle changes through personalized support.
• Collaborating regularly with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including clinical directors and peer counselors, to ensure comprehensive care for all clients.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
• Responding to emergencies and crisis situations effectively, providing immediate support and intervention as needed.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in the mental health field.

Our counselors serve a diverse clientele ranging from children to adults facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Understanding and accommodating varied backgrounds is central to our approach, ensuring that every client receives culturally competent care that aligns with their values and experiences.

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• A valid state-issued license to practice as an LPC, LMFT, or LICSW in Washington State is mandatory.
• No history of medical malpractice claims, verified by a third party.
• Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism in interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently.
• Good physical and mental health for maintaining a productive therapeutic setting.
