This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while still providing essential social work services to students in a school environment. You'll join a collaborative team of professionals that prioritize clinical excellence and psychosocial support. Our remote setting encourages engaging communication, utilizing digital platforms for meetings and consultations with students, families, and school staff. You will be a key resource for emotional and social issues impacting student performance and well-being, using technology to bridge gaps and maintain connections.

• Conduct in-depth psychosocial assessments to identify students' emotional, social, and academic needs.
• Provide individualized and group counseling sessions focusing on adjustment issues, grief, trauma, and coping strategies.
• Coordinate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to develop comprehensive plans tailored to each child’s specific needs.
• Facilitate communication among multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated support for students, maximizing their potential and learning outcomes.
• Assist families in navigating community resources and post-discharge services that ensure continuity of care.
• Document and maintain records of all interactions and interventions, adhering to HIPAA standards and legal requirements.
• Participate in relevant workshops and committees to advocate for improvements in mental health and social support services in educational environments.

In this role, you will primarily serve students ranging from elementary to high school, as well as their families. Your work will directly impact children facing a variety of challenges such as family transitions, grief, mental health disorders, and socio-economic hardships. By addressing these challenges, you will foster resilience and support student success not only academically but also emotionally and socially.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.
• An active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of school systems and the application of social work practices within educational settings.
• Proficient in the use of digital platforms for remote communication and documentation.

• At least two years of experience working in a healthcare or educational setting, with a focus on mental health and child welfare.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices relevant to children and adolescents.
• Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Knowledge of community resources and advocacy strategies for families in need.
