This position offers a unique and flexible work setting, allowing you to provide care remotely and manage your schedule from the comfort of your home. While your standard work hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, there may be opportunities for evening sessions on a rotating basis to accommodate client needs, ensuring that you can offer your expertise when it is most needed.

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health symptoms and substance use patterns, accurately identifying any co-occurring disorders that may impact their treatment.
• Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based interventions that resonate with their unique experiences and recovery goals.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on equipping clients with coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and techniques for emotional regulation.
• Engage in regular care coordination with an interdisciplinary team, fostering communication with psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists to ensure holistic treatment delivery.
• Monitor substance use through regular assessments and employ motivational interviewing techniques to effectively support clients in their recovery journey.
• Educate clients and their families about the critical relationship between mental health and substance use, enhancing their understanding of treatment compliance.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress, treatment interventions, and referrals while adhering to ethical and legal guidelines.
• Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities focusing on co-occurring disorder treatment techniques.

You will work primarily with adults who are facing the dual challenges of mental health issues and substance use disorders. Your role will be critical in understanding the complexities of these co-occurring conditions, as clients seek not just recovery but empowerment and resilience to navigate their daily lives. By prioritizing individual strengths and fostering supportive environments, you’ll help clients cultivate better life skills and ultimately achieve lasting change.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, LCSW-R, or LMFT in New York State.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies tailored for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• A solid understanding of the complexities of mental health and substance use disorders, particularly regarding their interaction and treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within a diverse, interdisciplinary team.

• At least two years of relevant experience in the field, preferably working with clients who have co-occurring disorders.
• Experience utilizing telehealth technology and virtual platforms for therapy.
• Familiarity with community resources and support systems for clients with co-occurring disorders.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
