Job description

Agent, Commercial Lines ($500 Signing Bonus)
Armed Forces Insurance will cover expenses for the training and testing to obtain your property and casualty personal lines license.
Compensation
Starting Pay $49,000-$58,000, depending on experience.
We do not pay commissions. This is the hourly rate of pay.
Signing Bonus
To be eligible for the signing bonus, candidates must have previously passed the “Property amp; Casualty and Allied Lines Producer” Licensing Exam in Kansas or have completed an equivalent licensing exam in another state that meets AFI’s appointment requirements and have an active license.
Work from Home Requirements
This position is eligible for 50% telecommuting after initial training period and satisfactory job performance.
What we are looking for
If you enjoy helping others in a fast-paced office environment, you might be a fit at Armed Forces Insurance. This position responds to and initiates face-to-face, telephone, email, and written communications with policyholders/ prospects for the purpose of selling and servicing AFIA commercial insurance products. Provides consultative guidance to business clients, evaluates commercial risk exposures, and delivers tailored insurance solutions that align with underwriting guidelines.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Operates within specified service and sales performance metrics, delivering timely and accurate responses to inquiries from current and prospective commercial policyholders
  • Generates new commercial business and expands existing accounts by identifying coverage gaps and recommending appropriate insurance solutions consistent with underwriting guidelines
Must Have Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree, or two years of relevant work experience may be substituted for experience
  • 4 years of customer service or relevant experience (BA/BS Degree may be substituted for experience
  • Keyboard skills of at least 35 wpm
  • Competent written communications skills
Nice to Have Qualifications
  • Experience in the commercial insurance preferred
  • Excellent verbal communications skills, to include a courteous, confident demeanor and appropriate use of grammar and vocabulary
  • Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to accomplish work according to established priorities and procedures
What professional education requirements do I need to obtain
  • Ability to obtain a domicile state agent’s license, as well as non-resident licenses for all other states, within 90 days in the position, and to maintain unrestricted licensure thereafter*
