Job description

Commercial Insurance Associate

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Commercial Insurance Associate to oversee and manage insurance compliance requirements for commercial tenants across a diverse property portfolio. This role is responsible for ensuring tenants maintain required insurance coverage, monitoring policy compliance, and collaborating with property management, legal teams, brokers, and tenants to minimize risk exposure.

Key Responsibilities

· Review and track tenant insurance certificates and policy documentation

· Ensure compliance with lease insurance requirements and company standards

· Communicate directly with tenants, insurance brokers, and property managers regarding deficiencies and renewals

· Maintain accurate, detailed and complete records

· Monitor expiration dates and follow up on outstanding insurance requirements

· Assist with risk management initiatives and audits

· Interpret lease language related to insurance obligations

Qualifications

· Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance, compliance, and risk management in commercial real estate

· Familiar with commercial insurance policies and certificates of insurance (COIs)

· Excellent organization, communication, and follow-up skills

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and compliance tracking systems

· Familiar with SiteCompli and MRI

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

· High attention to detail and accuracy
