Job description

Reporting to the Engineering Director, you'll manage engineering projects across distribution centers and plantbased warehouses, with responsibility for developing warehouse process and infrastructure improvement strategies that maximize asset effectiveness while maintaining capital and repair and maintenance (R&M) spend within budget. You'll provide enterprise ownership and execution leadership for powered industrial equipment (PIT) and industrial racking systems across the manufacturing and distribution network, including standards development, lifecycle strategy, capital planning, and safe, reliable execution across ambient, refrigerated, and frozen environments. You'll partner closely with automation and operations teams to ensure facilities and equipment are automationready and serve as a key member of the Transportation and Warehouse support team, contributing leadership, execution discipline, and crossfunctional collaboration across the network.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in material handling equipment (MHE), industrial racking systems, warehouse automation, and warehouse facility design, optimization, and infrastructure.
  • Develop costreduction and efficiency improvement strategies within your area of expertise.
  • Develop and maintain multiyear execution plans for owned and leased warehouse facilities.
  • Oversee warehouse operating budgets and evaluate capital investment tradeoffs.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their applicability across the distribution network.
  • Develop equipment specifications and standards to support modern warehousing concepts and operating practices.
  • Build strong relationships with strategic suppliers to drive accountability, performance, and value.
  • Work crossfunctionally with Transportation and Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing Platform teams, Program Management, and Finance.
  • Develop financial justification for optimization and capital projects.
  • Lead capital planning and execution for powered industrial equipment (PIT) and racking projects, including replacements, upgrades, and networkwide initiatives.
  • Manage capital equipment installation projects with accountability to budget, schedule, and performance targets.
  • Apply a strong understanding of business drivers and the impact of capital investments on broader corporate strategies.
  • Engage external engineering firms, thirdparty logistics (3PL) partners, and distribution center leadership to support sitespecific project execution.
Ingredients Required for Your Success
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum of seven years of industrial engineering or logistics and distribution engineering experience.
  • Extensive experience with warehouse infrastructure and building systems, including material handling equipment (MHE), racking, dock equipment, and drop lots.
  • Experience developing and delivering programs from concept through execution.
  • Experience with material handling automation technologies such as automated guided vehicles (AGVs), automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), and conveyor systems.
  • Experience influencing outcomes in crossfunctional teams and thirdparty relationships without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including communicating analyses and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Experience driving programs and initiatives in matrixed organizations.
  • Experience building strong internal and external relationships and holding individuals and vendors accountable.
  • Background in inventory management, warehouse operations, or related supply chain functions that interface closely with distribution operations.
  • Project management experience for capital projects up to five million dollars.
  • Solid understanding of distribution operations and endtoend supply chain management.
  • This position is located in Omaha NE, Chicago IL, select field locations or remote locations East of Denver, CO and within reasonable proximity (50 miles) to a major airport
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% percent to plant and distribution center locations.

Compensation

Pay Range:$109,000-$159,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
