Job description

Job Title: Grain Merchandising Assistant

Status: Part-time hourly, non-exempt

Reports to: VP Grain International Trading

Location: Remote

Position Objective: The grain merchandising assistant position will work alongside the International grain team performing general office duties and data entry as assigned by Supply Chain Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Collect production evidence reports per customer request
  • Assist with the organization of contracts, mailing, filing, and tracking
  • Keep track of A/R
  • Back up container logistics
  • Backup with bill rail load out and invoice rail cars and any rail logistics
  • Assist with customer service, phones, contract entry, target entry
  • Apply tickets in EFC
  • Enter transfer tickets for Grafton and Mansfield grain facilities
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who will provide support for the International Grain team. The applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask and be a strong communicator, both paper and over the phone, as he or she will frequently deal with higher levels of management.

Skills: Excellent verbal and listening skills, problem solving skills, strong attention to detail skills, and strong ability to follow-up.

  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must have analytical capabilities

Work Hours: Flexible, overtime during harvest, peak times

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.
