• Collaborate closely with primary care providers to recognize, treat, and manage mental health and psychosocial issues.
• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes focusing on diagnostic and functional evaluations, providing recommendations to primary care providers regarding treatment goals.
• Deliver focused therapeutic interventions to patients requiring mental health services, ensuring timely support based on their individual needs.
• Evaluate and determine the necessity for referrals to specialty mental health facilities for cases that require additional resources.
• Implement follow-up strategies to monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
• Develop relapse prevention plans that enable patients to maintain stable functioning.
• Identify at-risk patients and participate in developing proactive measures to prevent deterioration of their condition.
• Document patient progress meticulously in treatment records while keeping the primary care team informed on any updates.
• Empower patients with self-management skills and educate them on maintaining their health and wellness.
• Assist patients in adhering to medical treatments, including coping strategies for medication side effects.
• Participate actively in team discussions to evaluate and enhance behavioral services within the clinic.
• Uphold the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals and carry out other responsibilities as assigned.

You will be working with a diverse array of clients, ranging from children to adults, facing various mental health challenges. Your expertise will be crucial in assisting them to navigate through issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. By using a culturally sensitive approach, you will honor the uniqueness of each patient and tailor interventions accordingly. Strong communication skills will be essential in developing trusting therapeutic relationships, particularly in a telehealth environment.

The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling and hold a current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license. Applicants should demonstrate a solid understanding of mental health assessment, treatment planning, and the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria. Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques and experience in various therapeutic modalities is crucial. Additionally, candidates should have an understanding of the personal and social impacts of mental health issues on individuals and families.

While bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement for this position. Candidates with experience in dual-diagnosis treatment, group therapy facilitation, and community resource navigation will be especially valued. Furthermore, demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team setting is essential.

Big Leap Family Guidance Centers offers competitive salaries ranging from USD 87,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
