ColumbiaDoctors Medical Group / Ambulatory Medical Practices MSO, Inc., is looking for experienced Medical Certified Professional Coder/Charge Review Billing Specialist III candidates:

  • CPC/Coding Certification is required
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience
  • Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of all current coding guidelines and competencies to include all types of insurance plans and their requirements
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and professional billing and coding to the highest level of specificity in both CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10
  • Knowledge of coding conventions and rules established by the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for diagnostic and procedural codes. (CCI and LCD’s)
  • Knowledge, compliance and understanding of HIPAA guidelines
  • Must complete Columbia University Code of Conduct and Billing Compliance new employee training
  • Must complete annual training for HIPAA and Billing Compliance required refresher training
  • Ability to communicate efficiently, effectively, and professionally.
  • Remote/hybrid options are accommodated according to team/dept. schedule
  • Must be professional, experienced, neat, mature, determined, responsible and reliable with proven track record and retention
