Admissions Representative (AR)

The Admissions Representative (AR) is responsible for responding to all prospective student inquiries received by the college, including telephone, direct mail, and internet leads. This role requires the ability to professionally and confidently manage high-volume calls while building meaningful relationships with prospective students in a conversational, consultative manner.
In addition to handling inbound inquiries, the AR is responsible for generating personally developed leads through current students, referrals, and outside resources. A successful Admissions Representative can meet performance goals, multitask effectively, prioritize responsibilities, and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. A critical component of this role is identifying and enrolling qualified students who are likely to successfully complete their programs.
We are seeking motivated, driven individuals who want to excel in an organization that has a life-changing impact on its students. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Director of Admissions, Campus President, or Operations Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Admissions Representativeโ€™s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Adhering strictly to accrediting agency and U.S. Department of Education guidelines for proprietary school admissions.
  • Following all policies and procedures outlined in the Admissions Manual and established by the campus and/or company.
  • Upholding the Admissions Code of Conduct.
  • Participating in all required campus orientations.
  • Managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls in a fast-paced environment.
  • Building rapport with prospective students to identify educational and career opportunities.
  • Using established phone scripts for inbound and outbound calls.
  • Scheduling admissions interview appointments.
  • Conducting admissions interviews by phone, in person, or via video.
  • Enrolling qualified applicants.
  • Conducting scheduled follow-up with both enrolled and non-enrolled prospects.
  • Entering all tasks and notes into CampusVue daily.
  • Tracking incomplete enrollment files to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Monitoring and responding to email communications.
  • Posting all appointments to the Outlook calendar.
  • Attending all Admissions and staff meetings.
  • Meeting required daily quotas for calls, appointments, and personally generated leads.
  • Maintaining a clean and professional work environment.
  • Dressing professionally in accordance with the Employee Manual.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 yearsโ€™ experience in a sales or service-related environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, indoor sales center environment.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and respond with urgency to business and customer needs.
  • Proven multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of remote communication tools and technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, database software, and internet applications.
  • Must be punctual, responsible, ethical, and a strong team player.
Schedule:
  • Full-time position.
  • Varied shifts:
    • Mondayโ€“Friday: 8:00 AMโ€“5:00 PM, 9:00 AMโ€“6:00 PM, or 11:00 AMโ€“8:00 PM.
    • Saturday: 8:00 AMโ€“5:00 PM.
Compensation:
