Overview of the job

We are looking for a Business Affairs Manager to join our North America team, as a pivotal driver of our global contracting infrastructure. Reporting to the Business Affairs Director, you will be the primary lead for creator contracts, ensuring engagements are efficient and compliant, You will be instrumental in the implementation, roll out, and training across our new CLM tool, ensuring we optimise its potential for redlining creator agreements,standardise workflows, and enable self-service for all teams. You will also interact with our proprietary platform, Waves, and the creator agreement workflow, ensuring a seamless bridge between legal compliance and campaign execution as the business scales.

Measures of success - in the first few months, you will have:

  • Audit our existing creator contracts to familiarise yourself with Influencerโ€™s templates; making sure all templates are centrally stored and up to date.

  • Build strong working relationships with Client Services, Sales, Commerce, Product, and Finance teams and become their first call for creator contract queries

  • Helped build and launch the CLM to reduce average contract turnaround time and help remove bottlenecks in our creator engagement process.

  • Work to verify imports of any creator contracts onto the CLM tool.

  • Taken ownership of any compliance tracking in relation to contracting creators, with a clear picture of current obligations and any gaps

  • Contributed a meaningful improvement to our Business Affairs processes by developing the first iteration of a Playbook for creator contracts.

  • Liaise with the Product team to ensure templates on Waves are aligned and standardized.

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate creator agreements, and other ad hoc commercial agreements with a focus on global consistency.

  • Support contracting processes for creator engagements across the business.

  • Flag commercial and legal risk to the Business Affairs Director in a clear and timely manner.

  • Ensure agreements align with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., FTC, SAG-AFTRA, or platform-specific terms).

  • Assist with US compliance requirements and lead communication with relevant third party partners; helping to maintain and strengthen those external relationships.

  • Own, maintain, update and train staff across our CLM , Including standardising contract templates and workflows, specifically focusing on the automated redlining of creator facing documents.

  • Build out a library of playbooks and SOPs to ensure the Business Affairs function is scalable, documented, and updated on our CLM.

  • Where applicable, develop and deliver key trainings for internal teams.

  • Be the voice of BA for workflows via Waves (Influencerโ€™s proprietary platform).

  • Support cross-functional teams with contract related queries and guidance.

  • Drive improvements to contract management systems and workflows to increase speed and efficiency.

What you will need:

  • 3-5 years' experience in Business Affairs, Legal Ops, Contracts, or a closely related function

  • Background in agency, media, marketing, or production environments strongly preferred

  • Working knowledge of a CLM tool

  • Proven ability to draft and review commercial agreements independently and to a high standard

  • A comfortable familiarity with AI tools and prompting. You donโ€™t need to be a pro, but an interest in learning how to use them really well is beneficial

  • Strong commercial judgement and meticulous attention to detail

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Resilient self-starter who can operate with autonomy and good judgement

  • Comfortable negotiating

  • Legal qualification not required but welcomed; familiarity with creator economy and specific US (FTC) and UK/EU (ASA/GDPR) legislation is a plus
