Harborview Medical Center - PACU/ASU/PRE-ANESTHESIA has an outstanding opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) position.
Our teams provide comprehensive peri-anesthesia care to in-patients and out-patients undergoing surgery at Harborview. We care for pediatric and adult populations who are undergoing surgery with the following services: General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Ear/Nose/Throat, Urology, Oral Maxillofacial, Burns, Ophthalmology, Gynecology and Pain Service-related procedures.
CURRENT WORK SCHEDULE OPENINGS
  • 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
  • Evening shift (1100 - 2130)
  • Tuesday to Friday

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating
  • Maintain a safe environment of care
  • Patient transportation
  • Prepare patients for surgery
  • Perform non-invasive lab procedures
  • Transport equipment and supplies
  • Assist with treatments
  • Perform various clerical tasks
  • Take vital signs

REQUIREMENTS
  • Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State (please indicate your NA-C credential number on your resume)
  • A minimum of 1-year CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) experience in a Hospital setting
  • High School graduation and six months experience involving direct patient care or customer service in a health care setting; OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card by start date
