• Act as a liaison with families and outpatient healthcare providers, effectively communicating treatment plans and progress to facilitate a comprehensive support network.
• Engage with insurance companies for pre-certification and utilization management, ensuring clients receive the necessary financial coverage for their treatment.
• Participate in discharge and aftercare planning, providing clients with resources, recommendations, and follow-up strategies to maintain their recovery trajectory.
• Offer therapeutic meal support, modeling healthy relationships with food that promote physical and emotional well-being.
• Deliver safe, empathic, and affirming care tailored to each client's unique circumstances, accounting for their diverse identities and experiences.

The primary focus of this role is to serve clients at a detox center, a pivotal stage in the recovery process for individuals dealing with substance abuse issues. You will work with a diverse clientele, including those struggling with alcohol and drug dependencies, integrating their mental health needs into treatment plans that address both addiction and underlying psychological factors. • A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of California is mandatory to practice legally and ethically.
• Experience working with older adults and understanding their unique challenges related to addiction and mental health.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to assess mental health conditions and formulate appropriate interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being an active member of the therapy team.

• Experience in substance abuse treatment settings, particularly within detox facilities, is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
• Previous involvement in aftercare planning and community resource navigation for clients transitioning from detox treatment.
