Key Position Details:

Job Description:
Manages the clinical engineering services including service requests and dispatch. Areas of focus include vendor field services.
Principle Responsibilities
  • Financial management.
    • Prepare budget for modalities of responsibility through.
    • Communicate budget projections to sites and gain approval.
    • Manage to budget through on-going review of financial performance.
    • Develop and monitor contingency plans to correct unfavorable variances.
    • Establish and deliver financial savings targets for modalities of responsibility.
  • Customer management.
    • Act as liaison of the clinical engineering services program to executives and departmental leaders.
    • Address customer questions and issues, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of services.
    • Manage and coordinate site specific and system-wide projects related to clinical equipment services within portfolio.
    • Measure customer satisfaction and maintain acceptable service levels.
    • Manage the call center and on call schedule.
  • People management.
    • Manage staff to department and organizational metrics.
    • Ensure employee engagement goals are maintained.
    • Coach and support staff development & training plans such that they can meet the requirements of an evolving organization.
    • Ensure succession plans are in place to address continuity of service for the organization.
    • Provide clear and timely communication to staff including but not limited to: department goals/strategies, site specific projects, technology updates, customer feedback, etc. * Support activities related to staffing management (hiring, union, reviews, performance management, etc.).
  • Technology management.
    • Lead the overall strategy for select modalities for the department.
    • Identify innovative opportunities to improve service while reducing costs by modality though collaboration with technician experts, vendors, Supply Chain, and customers.
    • Provide consultative input to the organization for capital acquisitions of specific technologies.
    • Drive service strategies that reduce cost while maintaining quality.
    • Ensure data integrity and metric management of technologies.
    • Identify, develop and implement site specific and system-wide technology projects.
  • Compliance management.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies through management of goals and metrics, documentation, policies & procedures.
    • Maintain knowledge of requirements and industry standards.
    • Support Risk Management activities including equipment recalls and alerts, patient or employee incidence and corrective or preventative action (CAPA) opportunities.
    • Participate in accreditation and regulatory surveys and provide supporting documentation when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
  • 7+ years experience in customer service or data entry
  • 3+ years experience with clinical experience services management

Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degreein business, health care, engineering or related field
  • 0 to 2 years leadership experience

Pay Range
Pay Range: $48.29 to $66.81 per hour
The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience and education. Additional incentives may be available, including discretionary monetary bonuses, goal-based bonuses, and other financial incentives.
