Position Summary:

The Sr. Clinical Nutrition Specialist will serve as a clinical and scientific expert in medical nutrition therapy, supporting clinical development, clinical operations and medical affairs teams. This role will ensure that nutrition-related products, therapies, and educational materials are evidence-based, compliant, and aligned with current clinical guidelines. The Sr. Clinical Nutrition Specialist will act as a liaison between healthcare professionals, internal stakeholders, and external partners to provide diet monitoring training and oversight in clinical studies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides evidence-based nutrition expertise for clinical and scientific support of investigational products, particularly those related to metabolic disorders or medical nutrition therapy.

  • Contributes to the development of clinical study protocols and study manuals such as site dietitian manual.

  • Trains site dietitians on diet data entry and diet monitoring using specialized study tools and provides oversight of diet monitoring at clinical sites.

  • Reviews and interprets complex clinical data related to diet management for reconciliation with clinical practice and to ensure scientific accuracy for publications.

  • Develops and maintains tools and educational materials for healthcare providers, study participants, and internal teams and ensures all educational content aligns with current nutrition guidelines and regulatory standards.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required, Master's degree preferred. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN, LDN) credentials preferred.

  • Experience in metabolic disorders required.

  • 3+ years of direct clinical experience required with some direct work experience with dietary management of inborn errors of metabolism (IEM) disorders required.

  • Experience in clinical research, pharmaceutical industry, or medical nutrition therapy preferred.

$95,000.00 - $124,000.00
