The Business and Integration Analyst has the responsibility to provide expert integration consulting, business process definition, and integration services for implementation of the Landis+Gyr Gridstream MDMS solutions. The success of this position is measured by rating customer satisfaction, managing the development of the customer's software definitional requirements, accomplishing the necessary data integrations to match the utility needs, and managing the customer's issues within the Company and directly with the client for resolution.
Develop a comprehensive knowledge base for: the Company's application, the data contained within, and the standard interface options supported by L + G Technology. Build a general base of utility knowledge and conduct the Company's business in a positive, professional, and enthusiastic manner.
Key Responsibilities
    • Consulting on Landis+Gyr's standard interface options to generate application data to solve the Utility's vertical application integration requirements or support the client to make changes in their business practices to adopt new methods to use L+G's Interfaces to accomplish their business objectives
    • Configuring proper Gridsteam MDMS integration within L+G's "Standard Integration Interfaces", testing and validating interface data exchanges and managing projects using Landis+Gyr's OTA project lifecycle to ensure quality
    • Managing test environments for both internal and external customers including functional system operation and integration testing
    • Developing and maintaining the standard Landis + Gyr System Validation Test Suite
    • Work with the customer to define and scope their integration and functionality requirements
    • Provide onsite support for customer's technical teams to develop their MDMS business integration rules and process flow to match the Company's standard MDMS integration data sets
    • Write system integration planning and implementation documentation
    • Ensure integration plan, schedule and interfaces meet the customer deployment requirements
    • Maintain exceptional customer engagement skills with the ability to follow up on requested features and requirements which results in overall scope of expectation and meet the customer's satisfaction expectations
    • Configure Integration interfaces to meet customer needs
    • Test integration interfaces and troubleshoot interface defects and propose solutions
    • Provide MDMS Interface enhancement recommendations and any non-standard MDMS Interface requirements to Product Marketing Management so they can include them into new product Introduction process or accept them for custom design for the client
    • Validate partner vendor versioning and alignment of release cycles to maintain interoperability
    • Within the limitations of the Company's standard interfaces, maintain data exchanges between various vendor partners associated to a client opportunity. Support relationships for data exchanges including multiple AMI, CIS, Bus architecture companies and Han providers
    • Consult with the customer on business process directives and recommend Company's solutions
    • Evaluate complex Data Base Architectures and evaluate feasibility of the Company's standard proposed solutions
    • Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.

    Education: B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering.
    Experience:
    • 3+ years of business analyst, integration and functional testing experience.
    • 5+ years of MDMS experience preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience and proficient with SQL, XML, and SOA enabled integration.

    • Working knowledge of IEC-CIM 61968 Part 9 and Multispeak standards preferred
    • Working knowledge of SOA enabled integration using web-services and JMS

    Working Conditions: Typical indoor office environment with the majority of time spent sitting and working on a computer using keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Occasional use of other devices such as: phone, copier/printer/fax, etc.

Pay is in the range of $100,600 - $127,225 per year. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
