Job description

The Personal Lines Account Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing customer relations, serving as the primary point of contact for clients seeking information, and support for current and renewal insurance policies. The end goal of this position is to create an exceptional customer experience, maximize policy retention, and uncover cross-sell opportunities for the agency.

Responsibilities

·Manage and service a portfolio of personal lines insurance accounts while providing world class customer experience.

·Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and carriers by meeting and exceeding expectations.

·Provide clients with expert advice on coverage options, policy changes, and risk management strategies.

·Prepare and present proposals, renewals, and other insurance documents to clients.

·Handle client inquiries, claims, and policy changes in a timely and professional manner.

·Conduct regular reviews of client accounts to ensure appropriate coverage and identify potential gaps and cross-sell opportunities.

·Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

·Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and market conditions.

·Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in the agency management system.

Handle other duties as assigned by the PL Service Leader.

Requirements

·Active appropriate state insurance license in good standing is required.

·United States citizenship or its equivalent.

·2+ years of personal lines account management experience; or 5+ years related experience in the insurance industry.

·In-depth knowledge and understanding of insurance products, coverages, and industry practices.

·Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

·Ability to address and resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently.

·Strong organizational and time management abilities.

·Meticulous attention to detail and precision in data entry and information management to ensure accuracy in customer transactions and records.

·Proficiency in using computers, agency management software, and other relevant technologies.

·Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

·Ability to innovate and provide constructive feedback to clients and others.

·Self-Discipline to work effectively in a remote work environment.

·Ability to ask questions and ask for help when needed.

·High School Diploma or equivalent.

·

Preferred Qualifications:

·Applied Epic Agency management system proficiency preferred

·5+ years of personal lines account management experience.

·Strong network within the insurance industry.

·Active PC License

Preferred experience in TN, VA, SC, NC
