Job description

Johnson & Wilson is a growing family of companies specializing in real estate, development, title services, construction, affordable housing, education, and emerging technology. We are seeking a creative, energetic, and results-driven Marketing & Public Relations Manager to help elevate our brands, increase visibility, generate leads, and secure meaningful media exposure. This IS NOT a remote position.


This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both strategy and execution. We are not seeking someone who simply manages outside vendors. We need a marketing professional who can personally create campaigns, manage advertising, produce content, build relationships with the media, and help drive measurable business growth.


The Marketing & Public Relations Manager will oversee marketing, communications, branding, digital advertising, public relations, and lead generation efforts across multiple affiliated companies and initiatives.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, tech-savvy, and understands how to generate awareness, engagement, and leads through a combination of digital marketing, public relations, and content creation.

Compensation:

$18 - $25 hourly


Responsibilities:

Public Relations & Media Outreach

  • Write and distribute press releases
  • Build relationships with local, regional, and national media
  • Pitch stories to journalists, magazines, podcasts, television, and radio outlets
  • Secure media coverage and speaking opportunities
  • Identify award, recognition, and publicity opportunities
  • Coordinate interviews, community outreach, and public appearances


Digital & Print Advertising & Lead Generation

  • Create, manage, and optimize Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising campaigns
  • Create, manage, and optimize Google Ads campaigns
  • Develop retargeting and remarketing campaigns
  • Track campaign performance and return on investment
  • Build and improve lead-generation funnels
  • Support recruiting, business development, and customer acquisition efforts


Social Media Marketing

  • Create and execute content calendars
  • Develop engaging social media content across multiple brands
  • Be in direct communication with current social media contacts
  • Create graphics, videos, reels, and promotional materials
  • Grow social media audiences organically and through paid campaigns
  • Monitor engagement and respond to opportunities for community interaction


Website Management & SEO

  • Update and maintain company websites
  • Create and optimize landing pages
  • Improve search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Monitor website analytics and traffic
  • Improve online visibility and search rankings
  • Manage Google Business Profiles and related digital assets


Brand Management

  • Ensure consistent branding across all companies and platforms
  • Develop and design marketing materials, brochures, presentations, and promotional assets
  • Support company events, sponsorships, and community initiatives
  • Assist with marketing campaigns for real estate, construction, title, education, technology, and nonprofit initiatives


Email & CRM Marketing

  • Create and manage email marketing campaigns
  • Develop automated follow-up and nurture campaigns
  • Assist with database marketing and client re-engagement efforts
  • Support customer relationship management initiatives

Qualifications:

Required

  • Experience in marketing, communications, public relations, and digital advertising
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in creating content and graphic design

  • Experience updating and managing websites
  • Understanding of SEO best practices
