Job description

About the Role:

We are seeking a brilliant Solutions Engineer Consultant to join the Technical Solutions & Services team at Shaw/Scott. In this contract role, you would report directly to the Director of Technical Solutions and Services and be the expert technical resource for key clients. This contract role, will be delivering innovative marketing technology solutions for key customers, as well as driving innovation and contributing to the growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technology expert and trusted point of contact for clients
  • Lead technical design sessions and develop solutions, aligned with client objectives
  • Oversee client onboarding, data integrations, technology implementations, and enterprise-level platform migrations
  • Create in-depth documentation, including system diagrams and technical details
  • Provide training and documentation to empower clients and internal teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across strategy, creative, quality assurance, and account management
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset; Identify growth opportunities and help improve mature clients' marketing technology capabilities
  • Stay current with industry trends and maintain technology expertise through certifications and learning

Skills & Expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a professional solutions-based role
  • Previous experience working as a remote consultant on a per-project basis preferred
  • Ability to explain highly technical material and concepts to stakeholders
  • Expertise with enterprise-level Marketing Automation Platforms like SFMC, BloomReach, Braze, Iterable, Klaviyo, HubSpot or similar
  • Proficiency in technologies such as REST APIs, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and personalization languages (e.g., AMPscript, Liquid, Handlebars)
  • Knowledge of digital marketing best practices across channels, including email, SMS, push, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Certifications in one or more marketing technologies or related technologies are preferred
  • Ability to work remotely is key. You will need your own computer and should have a suitable environment in order to do so (i.e., desk, strong internet connection)

  • Preferred time zones are Central or Pacific time, with an expected 30 hours per week of work
  • Duration of contract is approximately 9 months, with the potential to extend


This position is fully remote and a contract position.

Pay Transparency:

Depending on skills and experience, the hourly rate for this contract role ranges from $75 to $105 per hour. As this is a contract position, benefits are not provided, and contractors are responsible for managing their own taxes, insurance, and any other associated expenses.

Work Environment / Travel

Business hours are Monday to Friday, with a typical 9 to 5 schedule in your agreed time zone.
