As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Forward Steps Psychotherapy, you will:

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments using evidence-based practices to create individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each client.
• Implement a range of therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards to ensure the highest ethical practice.
• Collaborate with a multifaceted treatment team to deliver comprehensive care, facilitating case consultations and offering insights during peer review meetings.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their journey toward recovery.
• Remain current with new developments and research in the mental health field to apply best practices in your therapeutic approach.

Your therapeutic expertise will primarily serve a diverse clientele, including individuals dealing with various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. By utilizing a person-centered approach, you will adapt your therapeutic techniques to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring they receive the personalized care essential for their healing journey.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marital and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active license to practice as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington.
• Proven ability to implement solution-focused psychotherapy interventions that address the unique challenges faced by each client.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills that enhance therapeutic decision-making and client interactions.

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in telehealth service delivery, a history of working with diverse populations, and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will have additional advantages. Furthermore, experience providing care for clients with co-occurring disorders may be beneficial to our team.
