Job DetailsJob Location: Allied Benefit Systems - CHICAGO, IL 60606Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 SalaryJob Category: Account Management & Client ServicesPOSITION SUMMARY The Senior Account Manager has full command of an assigned book of Allied clients. The position involves management of group health plans which are self funded. This position serves as a direct resource to Allied’s Account Management Teams and specifically the Account Executive who acts as team lead. The Senior Account Manager will help identify appropriate carriers, managed care networks, manage the new business implementation process, preparing and submitting reporting for key accounts, implement plan changes, perform client presentations and review plan performance. Communicating compliance requirements and evaluating benefit plans is essential. The position is responsible for the overall client satisfaction of the account.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS \tAct as the liaison between the client/broker and Allied Executives and various Allied Departments involved with the benefit plan. \tProvide communication and services to clients and brokers regarding ACA compliance, claim issue resolution, reporting, industry related and legislative information. \tConduct quarterly meetings to review plan performance reporting and build Allied/client relationship and ensure client satisfaction. \tImplement and manage new client implementations, lead implementation meetings to team of managers, provide follow up on open or missing items to complete the installation. \tCommunicate plan changes internally about plan design changes, contract specifications, accounting/billing, and any vendor partner changes. \tPrepare and host Employee Presentations, Administrative Procedures Training, Web Site Training, Benefit Management Reporting and analysis. \tTroubleshoot, identify and improve internal processes with various Allied departments. \tProduce and analyze Ad Hoc reporting when requested from the client/broker/Account Executive. \tCross sell various Allied services a client may not be utilizing currently. \tAbility to present renewals on existing Allied business. \tManage a mature, complex block of business which contains large, complicated benefit plan designs, multi location claims and billing structures and includes benefit plan partners outside of Allied’s recommendation. \tOther duties as assigned.   EDUCATION \tBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.   EDUCATION AND SKILLS  \tAt least 5 years as an Account Manager required \tAt least 5 years of experience with group health insurance in an account management role required \tExperience with self funded health plans is preferred but not required \tStrong written and verbal communication skills required. \tIntermediate level work experience with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel Access and Power Point software applications. \tPublic Speaking and an ability to present information regarding benefits and compliance.   POSITION COMPETENCIES \tAccountability \tAnalytical Thinking \tCollaboration \tCommunication \tCustomer Focus \tFunctional Expertise \tInitiative   CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES \tLife and Health Insurance Producers license preferred   PHYSICAL DEMANDS \tThis is a standard desk role requiring extended sitting and computer work.   WORK ENVIRONMENT \tRemote   Here at Allied, we believe that great talent can thrive from anywhere.
