We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic Mental Health Team that focuses specifically on our Special Education Program. This position is fully remote, leveraging cutting-edge telehealth technology to connect with students and families. You will be working from your location while maintaining constant communication with your colleagues through virtual meetings and collaborative platforms. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekend schedules required for specific student needs. Some on-call availability may also be necessary to provide timely support during crises.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for students with diverse special needs, analyzing emotional and behavioral patterns to formulate effective treatment plans.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that address specific mental health issues while promoting emotional well-being and successful integration into the school community.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored for ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, ADHD, and trauma-related challenges.
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions aimed at fostering personal growth, improving emotional regulation, and equipping students with effective coping strategies.
• Work collaboratively with other professionals, including educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic care and effective interventions.
• Offer timely crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, utilizing your skills to de-escalate challenging situations.
• Deliver psychoeducational sessions to students and families, enhancing their understanding of mental health conditions and available resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and staff development activities to continuously improve service delivery.
• Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines affecting mental health practices in educational environments.

This role primarily focuses on supporting students with special needs, including those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, and emotional or behavioral disorders. You will engage with students and their families, tailoring interventions to their unique backgrounds, needs, and experiences.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Georgia.
• Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, best practices in evidence-based treatment modalities, and principles of trauma-informed care.
• Experience conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and formulating effective treatment strategies.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills, with a proven ability to effectively connect with students and families.
• Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment aligned with professional ethics.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a high level of computer literacy.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience as an LCSW, preferably within a school or educational setting.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in delivering individual and group therapy sessions.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and respond to urgent needs with empathy and professionalism.
