In this role, you will leverage your expertise in auto damage assessment to inspect vehicles, evaluate losses, and prepare accurate, comprehensive estimates for both first- and third-party material damage claims across auto or specialty lines. The ideal candidate brings proficiency in CCC ONE estimating software, strong negotiation and time management skills, and a customer-focused approach to delivering an exceptional claims experience.

National General Insurance is seeking a Field Auto Claims Estimator to support our Kentucky region. Join our high-performing auto claims team where your estimating expertise, customer focus, and negotiation skills shape every outcome. The candidate must be currently located within a 100-mile radius of the service areas: Springfield, IL, Peoria, IL and East St. Louis, MO. Candidates living in Springfield, IL and East St. Louis, MO are welcomed as long as they can travel throughout the region to support our customers. Depending on business needs, some work may be field-based, while some may be remote.

Key Responsibilities

Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities

Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company

Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines

Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option

Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines

Supervisory Responsibilities
