Property Claims Representative - Regional Insurance Carrier - Base Salary to 110k/year - San Jose, CA

  • Our client, a respected and established 100+ year regional carrier is looking for a Property Claims Representative (internally titled Field Property Claims Representative). They have locations in NV, AZ, CA, and WA. The Property Claims Representative will be responsible for technical claim-handling, including investigation, evaluation, and negotiations pertaining to Property, Collapse, Earth Movement and Total loss of buildings.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate property claims involving commercial & residential buildings, collapse, structural damage, earth movement, and total building losses.
  • Perform inspections of sites and properties, including roofs, basements, attics, etc and using Xactimate to write estimates.
  • Support the team as a technical supervisor in managerโ€™s absence & mentor less experienced claims reps.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of claim experience, including 3+ yearsโ€™ experience in handling complex property claim files.
  • Strong coverage analysis skills, advanced estimating expertise, and the ability to confidently negotiate high-value settlements.
  • Strong ability to draft coverage position letters, reservation of rights, and denial letters when applicable.
  • Candidates must reside in either the San Jose or San Francisco areas for full consideration for this position

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 71k - 110k/year range depending on experience plus profit sharing, bonus, salary increases, and growth potential.

  • Remote/field role. You will receive mileage reimbursement & a stipend.
