Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field is required.
  • Must possess or be in the process of obtaining an independently licensed credential (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW) in Washington, D.C., or within 200 hours of completing residency.
  • Strong understanding of the Bible and familiarity with Biblical counseling techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on empathy, active listening, and rapport building.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse clientele, including individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining client confidentiality at all times.
Preferred Experience
  • At least one year of experience in trauma counseling is essential.
  • Preferably, candidates will have dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland.
  • Familiarity with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) techniques is a plus, and candidates must be willing to complete basic training within three months of hire.
