The responsibilities of the Licensed Mental Health Counselor will include:

• Providing trauma-informed counseling services to individuals, couples, and families, considering their diverse backgrounds and needs.
• Incorporating Christian counseling principles in sessions, offering a faith-based approach for clients seeking this perspective.
• Creating and implementing personalized treatment plans to align with each client's unique goals and challenges.
• Delivering counseling services to clients referred from local churches, strengthening community ties.
• Actively engaging in outreach and networking opportunities to grow your caseload and build new referral channels.
• Collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals, such as social workers and clinical counselors, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintaining meticulous client records and timely progress notes using our EHR system, upholding best practices in documentation.
• Communicating openly with the center director regarding your availability and schedule to enhance client care coordination.

Our counseling services cater to a wide demographic, including individuals and families from diverse backgrounds seeking mental health support through trauma-informed, Christian counseling. Counselors will engage with clients who are navigating various life challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma recovery. Your role will directly impact client outcomes by facilitating healing journeys and fostering resilience.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
• Independently licensed in Washington, DC, or nearing completion of residency with less than 200 hours left.
• Strong knowledge of the Bible and Biblical counseling techniques, integrating faith into therapeutic practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and foster a supportive environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines, ensuring the highest standards of practice.

We prefer candidates who bring additional skills and training, including:

• At least one year of professional experience in trauma counseling.
• Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland, offering greater flexibility in servicing clients.
• Training in EMDR or a willingness to complete EMDR basic training within three months of hire.
• A solid understanding of various therapeutic modalities to adapt treatment methods according to client needs.

The salary range for this position is between USD 100,000 and 105,000 annually, reflecting the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. In addition to a competitive salary, our compensation package includes:
