Principal Administrative Aide plays a key role in supporting the team by managing a variety of administrative tasks.
What You'll Be DoingHousing Stabilization Services (HSS) within SEPH is seeking a qualified individual to provide comprehensive administrative support to the program. The
Principal Administrative Aide plays a key role in supporting the team by managing a variety of administrative tasks.
Duties include:
- Responding to phone inquiries and 311 calls.
- Processing incoming mail and County and state program applications and supporting eligibility documentation.
- Performing data entry, filing, scanning, and photocopying,
- Managing the check log and client payments.
This position also involves front-facing responsibilities such as:
- Greeting customers in the reception area.
- Assisting the public with applications and County and state program applications, and supporting eligibility documentation.
- Answering routine questions.
- Providing program status and benefit information.
- Maintaining filing and documentation control systems and managing office supply inventory for the unit.
- Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to seamlessly shift between tasks in alignment with office priorities and daily workflow.
Proficiency in using computers, telephones, fax machines, and photocopiers is essential for accessing customer information and updating records. Candidates with experience in case management systems are desired.
Candidates with multilingual skills in any of the following languages are desired: Multilingual Spanish, Amharic, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, or French.
Minimum QualificationsEducation: Graduation from high school or High School Certificate of Completion recognized in the State
of Maryland.
Experience: Two (2) years of progressively responsible office support experience.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted
Preferred Criteria, Interview PreferencesPreferred Criteria: The applications of those individuals meeting the minimum qualifications will be reviewed to determine the extent, relevance of training, and experience in the following areas:
- Have multilingual skills in one of the following languages: Spanish, Amharic, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, or French
