• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments of students, utilizing interviews, observations, and thorough examinations of medical and educational records to identify emotional, social, and environmental factors impacting their school performance and recovery.
• Provide individual and family counseling services that focus on emotional support, coping strategies, and adjustment issues directly related to the student's academic and social experiences.
• Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and healthcare professionals to create and implement personalized treatment plans that address students' unique psychosocial needs, ensuring they are adequately supported within the educational environment.
• Identify and facilitate access to community resources, such as mental health support groups, vocational rehabilitation, or housing assistance, promoting a well-rounded support network for students and their families.
• Engage with students and their families to educate them about available community resources and effective post-rehabilitation services, assisting in their transition back into academic life.
• Participate in interdisciplinary discharge planning, providing consultation to educational teams about the psychosocial needs of students transitioning back to school after significant health changes or incidents.

You will primarily engage with school-aged children and adolescents facing various challenges, including behavioral issues, trauma, chronic illness, or family-related disruptions. By addressing their emotional and social needs, you will help students navigate their academic environments and improve their overall well-being. Your work will play a crucial role in helping them adapt, thrive, and successfully reintegrate into their school communities.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• An active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
• Demonstrated understanding of child development, educational systems, and the unique dynamics of school environments is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and educational staff.

• Experience working in educational, rehabilitation, or clinical settings where you have contributed to student success and well-being.
• Previous involvement with community health programs, mental health resources, or therapeutic interventions related to school-based support.
• A background in addressing crisis situations and implementing effective coping strategies for children and adolescents.
