• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments for new clients, gathering detailed information to develop personalized treatment plans that address each individual’s unique needs.
• Facilitate engaging one-on-one and group therapy sessions, addressing a wide range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with medical professionals and community organizations to ensure a holistic approach to client care and facilitate timely referrals when necessary.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to keep abreast of best practices and advance skills relevant to the ever-evolving field of mental health.
• Contribute innovative ideas to improve service delivery, develop community outreach strategies, and enhance the effectiveness of mental health programs.

The clients you will work with are part of a diverse demographic, ranging from adolescents to adults, many of whom may face complex emotional challenges. Our focus is on empowering individuals from various backgrounds, including those who have encountered trauma, stigma, or socio-economic hardships. Your expertise will play a crucial role in crafting individualized therapeutic approaches that resonate with their unique experiences.

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current active license as a mental health therapist in New York State (LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW).
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience providing support for individuals facing emotional challenges.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport quickly and build trusting relationships with clients.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems is preferred but we are open to train candidates who are eager to learn.

• Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, including but not limited to ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ community, and economically disadvantaged individuals.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Mindfulness-Based Therapy can be an asset.
• Prior experience in a community health or non-profit setting is a plus.

• Competitive annual salary between $52,000 and $70,000 based on experience and qualifications.
