Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will undertake essential responsibilities that directly impact patient outcomes, including:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ histories and current needs, thereby informing tailored treatment plans.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery using modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at processing trauma and cultivating coping strategies for patients, ensuring a supportive and healing environment.
• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to create integrated treatment plans that address all aspects of patient wellness.
• Providing crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses while offering resources and coping mechanisms to aid their journey.
• Maintaining meticulous, confidential documentation compliant with all legal and ethical standards in mental health care.
• Participating in case consultations, professional development workshops, and team meetings focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.
• Staying updated on current research and methodologies in trauma therapy to continuously enhance your therapeutic skills and approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on trauma survivors, including those with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be providing essential support to individuals striving to overcome their past experiences, thereby improving their quality of life and mental well-being.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment options.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with empathy and without judgment.
• Competence to remain calm and composed in high-stress scenarios, delivering clinical support effectively.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Experience delivering trauma-focused therapies, with documented success stories in patient recovery, will be an added advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
